Your immediate supervisor is the person who oversees your day-to-day work and provides guidance on your tasks. This is typically your project manager or department head. If you’re unsure HR before submitting your evaluation.
Peers are coworkers at a similar level or on your team with whom you collaborate regularly. The goal is to get feedback from colleagues who interact with you in a professional capacity. If your role is unique or there aren’t clear peers, select colleagues you work closely with—even if they are in a slightly different role.
It’s okay to evaluate colleagues who may have a slightly different role or level, as long as you interact with them professionally and can provide meaningful feedback. If you’re unsure whether a particular coworker is appropriate, reach out to HR for guidance.
