Employees can manage their dental benefits online through a Principal account.
To create your account:
Visit the Principal account setup guide.
Follow the step-by-step instructions to create your individual login.
Once registered, you can access your dental benefits anytime.
You can search for in-network dentists using the Principal website or mobile app.
To find a provider:
Open the Principal mobile app or visit principal.com.
Navigate to Insure and then My Insurance.
Scroll to Find a Dentist.
Enter your zip code.
Select your dental network if prompted (this is listed on your ID card).
Adjust distance, specialty, or search by dentist name if needed.
Note: Provider participation can change. Always confirm the dentist and location are still in-network before your appointment.
Most dental providers submit claims directly to Principal on your behalf.
If you choose to submit a claim yourself, no form is required. You will need:
An itemized statement from the provider that includes
ADA service codes and billed amounts
Provider name, address, and tax identification number
Date or dates of service
A copy of the front and back of your dental ID card
Claims can be submitted by mail or fax.
