What this means:
A flexible schedule allows employees to shift their start and end times while still covering their regular hours.
Who can request it:
All employees, in any role
As long as the schedule continues to meet operational needs
How it works:
Employee discusses the proposed schedule with their direct Supervisor.
Supervisor reviews the request based on team needs, workload, and coverage.
If approved, the new schedule is documented and communicated to all affected team members.
Important guidelines:
Work should generally be performed during JBPro’s standard business hours.
All employees must be available during core hours: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM EST (unless a Supervisor approves an exception).
Flexible schedules must support, not hinder, team collaboration and productivity
Flexible remote work options are available in two forms: (A) Occasional Remote Work and (B) Ongoing or Full-Time Remote Work.
A. Occasional Remote Work
Ideal for short-term or one-off needs such as:
Appointments
Weather concerns
Personal situations
Temporary disruptions at home
Process:
Employee communicates the need to their Supervisor in advance.
Supervisor confirms coverage and approves the request.
Employee works remotely for the agreed-upon timeframe.
B. Ongoing or Full-Time Remote Work
Some roles and employees may be eligible for more consistent remote work.
Process:
Employee submits a request to Human Resources.
HR evaluates the request based on:
Job responsibilities
Employee performance and experience
Level of independence required
Availability of necessary equipment
HR provides formal written approval before ongoing remote work can begin.
Any position may be considered for flexible or remote arrangements based on role demands, individual performance, and operational needs.
Entry-level employees (less than 3 years of related experience) are generally expected to work on-site due to the importance of hands-on learning, mentorship, and team integration.
Supervisors and HR will ensure arrangements support both the employee’s success and business needs.
Employees approved for remote work, whether occasional or ongoing, are expected to maintain:
Strong communication
Consistent productivity
Responsiveness during work hours
Availability during core hours (unless otherwise approved)
Remote work is a benefit that depends on maintaining the same high standards JBPro holds for all employees.
To work effectively from home, employees must have:
Reliable high-speed internet
A quiet and professional work environment
Equipment suitable for their role (computer, monitors, software access, etc.)
JBPro may assist with equipment needs when appropriate.
